Custom cabinet for a spectral CT imaging system

Design and manufacture of a specialised, lead-lined cabinet for advanced medical imaging.

Challenge:

Mars Bioimaging required a movable, lead-lined cabinet to house a full spectral X-ray CT imaging system.

The unit needed to:

  • safely contain radiation
  • integrate with sensitive equipment
  • remain practical to use and move

What we did:

We worked closely with the Mars Bioimaging team to develop and manufacture a solution that met both technical and practical requirements.

This involved:

  • designing and fabricating the cabinet structure
  • integrating lead lining for shielding
  • resolving practical considerations around access, movement, and usability

THE OUTCOME

The finished cabinet provided a safe, functional housing solution for the CT imaging system, supporting its use in a research and development environment.

The project demonstrates our ability to deliver complex, high-spec fabrication work where accuracy, functionality, and collaboration are critical.
